The Stage
The Apple AppStore has over 100,000 iPhone applications. Verizon’s Droid is a a few months old and Google just launched the Nexus One. Microsoft has Windows Mobile and the Palm has the hot new Palm Pre. The current king of Mobile Business is the Blackberry (RIM), but it is losing ground fast. Burke Research Success Story
The Challenge
Burke Research Services needed a way to get the most up-to-date intelligence for their clients. In most cases, their clients are looking for companies that are a specific size, have a certain number of employees, or are in a particular geographic area. While these demographic criteria can be found through traditional database providers, the level and relevancy of the contact information provided is often poor while the general company information is not often found in one place.

Tips and Tricks Applied Learning Sessions
Looking to get the most out of your investment in Broadlook tools? Mike Tischer, Director of Client Experience, was asked to talk about the best way to take your skills to the next level. His answer? Applied learning sessions.
1) Q: Why did Broadlook create applied learning sessions?
We created the Broadlook Applied Learning Workshops to address our clients’ need to "put it all together." We were doing a solid job of teaching clients how to operate the products (bits and bytes), but weren't giving them strategy lessons to maximize their investment. This series is intended to give users strategies they can use in the field.
2) Q: How are these sessions different?
In this series, we take the operation skills learned in our product classes and put them to use solving a real world project. For instance, in one workshop, we discuss using Broadlook’s Eclipse, Profiler, and Diver to mine for data related to professional associations. Attendees aren’t getting the “click here” training, but they are learning why a three-prong approach to a problem can yield higher, more relevant results.
3) Q: Why would someone want to attend?
You'll want to attend the applicable sessions to take your results to the next level. It is an opportunity to learn best practices and practical uses of the applications to maximize your investment. After you've gone through our "Getting Started 101" class and completed 100-level product classes, we believe you've gained the necessary skills to operate the software, but why stop there.
4) Q: Is there a cost for the sessions?
There's no additional cost for attending these events today, but they are exclusive to our Broadlook community. Furthermore, you should complete the suggested prerequisite product courses for each workshop, as we move through the content and tools pretty quickly.
5) Q: How do I sign up?
To sign up for any class or workshop, all you need to do is head over to the Broadlook Client Center and register. If you don't have a login to our Client Center, call us! We'll either locate yours or issue you one.

Product Updates How much time did you spend?
A recent Aberdeen study indicates that over 77% of companies' surveyed use the Internet as a key source of information in their sales, marketing, and recruiting efforts. It went on to say that those who are using the Internet are spending over 65 minutes per day searching.
Imagine the key members of your team and what that translates into in terms of time per week, per month, and per year. As more and more information is available, the challenge is to find the information that matters.
Diver 3.0 is on its way. The finishing touches are being put on that will take the time savings you will see to the next level. Imagine being able to launch multiple searches at once through "Folder Launch" and that you will be able to dive automatically into 300, 500, or even 1,000 page results. Imagine all that with the addition of some killer search strings, ready for you to use.
Can't wait? Stay tuned. More information will be coming out shortly.
